This role supports Medavie Health Services West , a division of Medavie Health Services — Canada’s largest contracted provider of emergency medical services and a national leader in primary health care solutions.
With a growing team of over 5,400 health care professionals across six provinces, Medavie Health Services brings decades of experience in delivering essential services such as ground and air ambulance operations, medical communications, Mobile Integrated Health/Community Paramedicine programs, 911 Public Safety, 811 Telehealth, home health care, and clinical training.
We’re looking for a Financial Analyst who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about accuracy, analysis, and continuous improvement. This is an entry-level opportunity ideal for someone with a background in accounting and a drive to grow within a purpose-driven organization.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare account reconciliations and journal entries
- Support monthly financial reporting and budgeting
- Analyze variances and investigate discrepancies
- Collaborate with managers and analysts to review financial results
- Contribute to financial projects and process improvements
What You Bring
- Post-secondary education with a concentration in accounting
- Experience in financial reporting (an asset, but not required)
- Strong technical skills and spreadsheet proficiency
- Detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated
- A creative, positive approach to problem-solving
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- You bring not just skills, but a mindset that reflects our values: caring, accountable, responsive, innovative, and community-minded.
