About the role

Description

The Specialist, Accessories & Tires Planning is responsible for the ongoing product development and marketing of Kia Accessories and primarily through new vehicle sales. Further, tires lead for both in new vehicle sales (winter tires) and in all replacement tires in the shop.

Understanding the dealership and aftermarket environment, you will play a key role in the development of products that will meet our customer and dealer’s expectations while always adapting to changing market demands. The position has direct impact on significant revenues and profits for After Sales at Kia Canada.

The position will report directly to the Manager, Retail After Sales.

Responsibilities

Accessories

  • For Accessories and winter tires ensure Kia dealers have a fully integrated strategy across Sales, Service and Parts to improve penetration rates for new vehicles retailed
  • In partnership with Mobis Parts Canada (MPCA), Kia North America (KNA) and other suppliers, develop and maintain new Accessories in line with customer demand e.g., SUV and adventure accessories
  • Conduct market research to identify product development opportunities, explore Port Install (PIO) business opportunities, and develop marketing strategy to support accessory product sales
  • Support new accessory launches, managing dealer communications, and developing marketing materials
  • Provide responses to dealers and internal staff related to products, programs, and pricing

Tires

  • Working with all national account Tire OEMs play a lead role in strategy and key tactics to increase tire sales through an ‘always on’ tire program in the replacement aftermarket
  • Work with Tire distributors to support the Kia dealer network and tire manufacturers to ensure timely supply to meet demand
  • Develop and execute key promotional supports and other tools/ aids to help dealers activate in-store under ‘Kia Tire Experts.’ Includes Best Practices that help support an integrated dealership strategy
  • In addition, continuously improve the Kia Accessories & Tire Selling tool, to help maximize accessories and tire sales through dealer utilization
  • Analyze accessories and tire sales for pricing issues, product gaps, and new opportunities to gain experience revenues and profit
  • Collaborate with KCA internal stakeholders like Sales, Fleet and Product Planning to synchronize efforts leading to new or incremental performance
  • Function as Accessories & Tire subject manner expert (SME) for field team for product and in executing programs through the dealer network

Skills / Knowledge / Experience / Education Required

  • Minimum 2-3 years related automotive experience
  • College/University degree/diploma in business, automotive marketing, or similar discipline
  • Strong organizational abilities and proven multi-tasking / multi-project coordination skills
  • Proven ability to initiate and improve processes to increase efficiency
  • Marketing program development skills
  • Excellent vendor management and relationship skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Initiative-taker to initiate and drive improvements
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Bilingualism would be an asset
  • Salary Range: $60,000 - $82,501
