WORKING CONDITIONS

Working hours: This position is full-time. You are expected to work 35 hours per week, over 5 days.

Hybrid work arrangement: You are required to work from the UWW/EXP office in Downtown Vancouver at least one (1) day per week, scheduled in coordination with your Manager. You must also be available to report to your assigned office on other days as requested by your Manager.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will be based in Vancouver and be responsible for the management of relationships with clients, community partners, and various other stakeholders as well as being accountable for related administrative and operational tasks.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Establish and manage relationships with clients, community partners, volunteers, and other stakeholders as needed.
- Deliver informative and engaging presentations about our program to community partners and prospective clients, both virtually and in person.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with partner organizations and their staff to foster sustainable and effective collaboration.
- Execute key program activities, including client outreach and recruitment, intake, onboarding, regular follow-ups, and support.
- Participate in program events, job fairs, and other activities as needed.
- Plan, organize, and co-facilitate regular group sessions with clients as required.
- Support the planning, organization, and recruitment of facilitators for client workshops.
- Monitor the implementation of program processes and policies to deliver high-quality services and ensure continuous quality improvement.
- Create and update client files, program documents and presentations, filing them in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Facilitate positive relationships within the program team, with other departments, and with stakeholders at large.
- Program Evaluation: Continuously assess the program's effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement. Implement necessary changes based on evaluation findings.
Other duties assigned as required.
WHAT YOU OFFER
Required
- Experience working with a diverse clientele, including individuals who have experienced poverty, housing or employment instability, trauma, gender-based violence, mental health and addiction issues, and disabilities.
- Experience in community outreach, including developing and maintaining relationships with various stakeholders in the sector, and effectively promoting programs and initiatives.
- Understanding and commitment to concepts and issues related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-oppression, especially as they apply to women and gender-diverse individuals living in poverty.
- Excellent skills in navigating and developing relationships within the community services sector to provide resources to our clients based on their needs.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey and present information to all stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills and proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently as well as part of a team while maintaining good communication with colleagues.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and administrative skills, with great attention to detail.
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in word processing, presentation, email, and calendar software, search engines, and web-based platforms.
- Respect for privacy and the ability to exercise tact and discretion.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
Assets
- Experience in conducting client intake.
- Knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) software, in particular Salesforce.
- Experience in developing and facilitating client workshops.
- Working fluency in French.
