Position Located at our Laval Head Office - Hybrid work Policy(3 days/week Office based)

As Manager, Commercial Operationsyou will support the organization by coordinating key operational activities across the commercial functions. You will help ensure smooth execution of plans, events, processes and communications.

In this role, you will support commercial operations, including event management, workflow coordination, HCP coordination, in line with the rules and regulations [and executive support. You will work closely with the marketing coordinators to ensuring alignment with commercial priorities. Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills will be important to help the Commercial team stay coordinated and deliver on its objectives.

Key Responsibilities

-Commercial Operations (30%)

  • Develop the annual commercial operations calendar (NSM, RSMs, brand planning, conferences) to ensure visibility, coordination, and strong cross-functional participation.
  • Ensure all commercial operations activities meet critical deadlines and adjust the calendar throughout the year as priorities shift.
  • Support marketing-led initiatives by tracking timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional inputs, ensuring deliverables are completed on time.
  • Monitor marketing and sales budgets with judicious oversight and identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Champion and support initiatives (already defined) to automate processes within functional area

-Event Management (30%)

  • Lead end-to-end planning, logistics, and execution of key commercial events (NSM, RSM, Cycle Meetings, National Conferences, Marketing Summits, etc.).
  • Manage external agencies supporting event planning and execution.
  • Ensure events meet budget, timeline, compliance, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional partners to maximize impact, engagement, and operational efficiency.

-Support of Marketing and Sales Coordinators (30%)

  • Support Marketing and Sales Coordinators in delivering high-quality operational and administrative support.
  • Standardize and streamline marketing and sales workflows to ensure consistency, timely execution, and cross-BU alignment.
  • Improve operational efficiency by strengthening processes related to events, advisory boards, budgets, promotional activities, and HCP engagement.
  • Oversee coordinator-led logistics for external events, shipments, contracts, and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Guide coordinator-led budget and purchase order processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely approvals.
  • Ensure backup support for pricing and market access coordination activities, including system updates, contracts, submissions, and compliance tracking.
  • Ensure backup support for administration of PLA contracts, payer submissions, pricing updates, and government affairs documentation.

-Executive Support (10%)

  • Provide executive support to Commercial Management, delivered either directly or through the coordinator pool.

  • Manage the coordinator pool for non-sensitive tasks and collaborate with Commercial leaders to handle sensitive matters with appropriate discretion.

  • Support the Commercial team to ensure the GM is fully prepared for key customer engagements through targeted insights and strategic briefing materials.

  • Develop, draft, and distribute internal communications for commercial events and initiatives, ensuring messaging is timely, consistent, and aligned with leadership priorities.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading and developing a small team, with the ability to balance delegation of routine tasks and oversight of sensitive or high-priority initiatives.

  • Minimum of 5+ years in a strategic, operational, or project management role within a fast-paced, growth-oriented organization, including experience supporting commercial leadership teams and managing corporate or commercial events.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.

Skills

  • Strong leadership and people management skills, including coaching, mentoring, and fostering a collaborative, high-performing team culture.

  • Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, [effective budget management and deliver high-impact initiatives on time.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to synthesize complex information and provide actionable recommendations.

  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, able to build trust and credibility across all levels of the organization

  • Familiarity with agile methodologies or process improvement practices is a plus.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or related field required.

  • Advanced degree (MBA, MIM, or equivalent) is a plus.
