We are seeking a motivated Intermediate Project Engineer to support bridge and civil structure projects in Vancouver and Toronto. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow into a leadership position while contributing to technical design and project coordination.
As a Project Engineer, your responsibilities would include:
- Assist in the design and analysis of bridge structures under senior supervision.
- Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Support project management tasks including scheduling and resource planning.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to proposal writing and business development efforts.
- Participate in site inspections, condition assessments, and construction support activities such as RFI responses and shop drawing reviews.
- Engage with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to support project delivery and resolve technical queries.
The right candidate is a versatile and creative thinker who can lead teams of engineers to provide practical solutions to complex problems.
The candidate must possess the following experience:

Minimum 5–8 years of experience in structural engineering.

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master’s preferred.

Solid understanding of structural mechanics, materials behavior, and construction methods.

Working knowledge of CHBDC and relevant design software.
-
Familiarity with provincial and municipal standards, including BCMoTT and MTO guidelines.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience contributing to technical documentation and client-facing materials.

Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving ability, and eagerness to grow into a senior technical or project management role.

In compliance with the B.C. Pay Transparency Act, the expected salary range is from $96,000 - $117,000.
Multiple factors such as qualifications, overall experience and position responsibilities will be used to determine the successful candidate's actual salary within the expected range.
