We are seeking a motivated Intermediate Project Engineer to support bridge and civil structure projects in Vancouver and Toronto. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow into a leadership position while contributing to technical design and project coordination.

As a Project Engineer, your responsibilities would include:

  • Assist in the design and analysis of bridge structures under senior supervision.
  • Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Support project management tasks including scheduling and resource planning.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to proposal writing and business development efforts.
  • Participate in site inspections, condition assessments, and construction support activities such as RFI responses and shop drawing reviews.
  • Engage with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to support project delivery and resolve technical queries.

The right candidate is a versatile and creative thinker who can lead teams of engineers to provide practical solutions to complex problems.

The candidate must possess the following experience:

  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in structural engineering.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master’s preferred.

  • Solid understanding of structural mechanics, materials behavior, and construction methods.

  • Working knowledge of CHBDC and relevant design software.

  • Familiarity with provincial and municipal standards, including BCMoTT and MTO guidelines.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience contributing to technical documentation and client-facing materials.

  • Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving ability, and eagerness to grow into a senior technical or project management role.

In compliance with the B.C. Pay Transparency Act, the expected salary range is from $96,000 - $117,000.

Multiple factors such as qualifications, overall experience and position responsibilities will be used to determine the successful candidate's actual salary within the expected range.
