Position Overview: Finning Canada is seeking a Labourer to join our busy team in Saskatoon. In this role, you are responsible for performing general labourer and wash-bay duties for ready-to-rent and post rental equipment.

The successful candidate is committed to a safe work environment and is capable of working with minimal supervision.

Job Description: Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support routine building and yard maintenance

  • Perform other related duties as requested

  • Aid mechanics with the removal and installation of guards

  • Oil sampling, lube and oil changes

  • Work as part of a team to meet the branches commitment to company and customer satisfaction.

  • Follow all safety procedures and rules

  • Washing, Cleaning & Detailing

  • Perform a variety of washing and cleaning duties including washing, cleaning

  • Loading & Unloading Equipment

  • Assists warehouse personnel with loading /unloading equipment and pulling orders as required.

  • Yard Functions

  • Assists yard personnel in ensuring ready-to-rent equipment is presented in an orderly fashion.

  • Maintain yard organization and cleanliness to align with housekeeping and safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • High School graduate
  • General mechanical aptitude.
  • Familiarity with heavy equipment or a similar industry would be considered an asset
  • Shipping / Receiving experience
  • Ability to stay organized and prioritize in a fast paced environment
  • Team player
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with effective verbal and written communication abilities

Education & Experience:

  • Completion of grade 12.
  • Previous experience with Caterpillar equipment or a service oriented shop would be considered an asset.
