About the role

This is a part time opportunity offering up to 20 hours per week out of our Community Rehabilitation Services Clinic located at 1772 Baron Road, Kelowna, British Columbia V1X7G9.

Take an inside look at what you’ll do each day

  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent client outcomes within the community
  • Work with clients with Mental Health diagnoses, brain and spinal cord injury
  • Provide impartial home, job, and safety/attendant care assessments, functional ability evaluations, insurer examinations, ergonomic assessments, client education, and job coaching, as required
  • Coordinate the return to work process with all stakeholders in a timely way, ensuring a smooth transition into the workplace
  • Work closely with the team and other resources to develop new programs to meet identified client needs
  • Network with internal and external stakeholders to promote new and existing programs
  • Perform regular, timely charting, reporting and communication
  • Record workload measurement data
  • Attend staff meetings and case conference meetings, as required
  • Provide professional services to other CBI facilities or departments, as required

Here’s what you’ll need to be successful

  • You are a graduate of a recognized School of Occupational Therapy
  • You are a registered member in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists in BC
  • Have experience in the private sector and working within the community
  • Experience with Mental Health diagnoses, brain and spinal cord injuries
  • Hold a valid driver's license and have access to a vehicle
  • You are passionate about your profession and committed to ongoing professional development
