About the role

The Clean Harbors facility in Lambton, Ontario, is currently looking for a Licensed Journeyman Millwright (433A) with 2+ years’ experience to join our maintenance department.

Millwrights are responsible for the maintenance and repair of industrial equipment, actively participating in preventative maintenance programs, and providing support to overall plant operations. This is primarily a day-shift position, with occasional overtime, and the requirement to work extended hours during shutdowns.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the plant operates in a safe condition
  • Need to be fit for climbing stairs and ladders
  • Working at heights
  • Working in all weather conditions/outdoors:
  • Repair/maintain/install pumps/gearboxes/bearings etc;
  • Perform regular PM’s in accordance to our FAM system: Fac asset management
  • Perform other maintenance duties as required.
  • Work independently as a self-starter, while also collaborating with the rest of the maintenance team.
  • Interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Participate in scheduled preventative maintenance and respond to emergency breakdowns.
  • Support long shifts and additional work hours during plant shutdowns (three per year).
