About the role

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper / HR Administrator to join our team. This role combines essential bookkeeping responsibilities with human resources support, helping maintain the financial health and day-to-day administrative operations of our organization.

The ideal candidate will have experience with accounting software, payroll processing, and general HR administration, and will thrive in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, organization, and confidentiality are essential.

ResponsibilitiesBookkeeping & Finance

  • Manage daily bookkeeping functions using QuickBooks
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections
  • Complete bank reconciliations and account reconciliations accurately and consistently
  • Prepare purchase orders, invoices, and financial documentation
  • Assist with budgeting, cash flow tracking, and financial reporting
  • Process payroll accurately and maintain payroll records in compliance with applicable regulations
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records for management review
  • Support month-end and year-end financial procedures as required

*Human Resources *

  • Maintain employee files and HR documentation with a high level of confidentiality
  • Assist with onboarding, offboarding, and employee record management
  • Support benefits administration and internal HR processes

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in bookkeeping, accounting, finance, or office administration
  • Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks and Google Workspace
  • Understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and reconciliations
  • Familiarity with accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to manage confidential financial and employee information professionally
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple responsibilities
  • Experience with HR administration or employee management is considered an asset
  • Prior experience in budgeting, forecasting, or financial planning is an asset
