About the role
We are seeking a Disability Administrator to join our McAteer team in Markham.
The Disability Administrator is responsible for assisting members with inquiries about their benefit plans as well as adjudicating claims for WI benefits.
The Disability Administrator will:
- Review of claims for WI benefits, including Employee and Physician Statement
- Assess/Adjudicate and prepare new WI claims
- Process the weekly claims payments.
- Process direct deposit payments for WI claims per week
- Letters for approved or declined WI claims
- Request additional information if required
- Follow up with Plan members
- Assist members via walk-in, phone or email with inquiries about their benefit Plans (disability, eligibility etc.)
- Assist Trustees with inquires
- Forwarding Long Term Disability (LTD) applications to insurers
- Preparing disability reports for Trustee meetings
To be successful as a Disability Administrator with The McAteer Group of Companies, you will need**:**
- 3-5 years of experience working in an office environment
- Previous Claims experience
- Short Term Disability/WI Knowledge
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong organizational/time management skills
