Cambrian Credit Union is currently seeking a Manager, Centralized Administration Processing (Manager, CAP).

The Manager, CAP is a key leader within the Centralized Administrative Processing (CAP) department at Cambrian Credit Union. Reporting to the Vice-President, Operations & Administration, this role oversees a large team through direct-report supervisors, ensuring efficient administrative operations and alignment with Cambrian’s strategic goals.

As part of Cambrian’s broader leadership team, the Manager, CAP drives process improvement, resource management, and regulatory compliance, fostering a collaborative and high-performing workplace culture. The Manager, CAP is responsible for developing and leading the team by mentoring, motivating, and coaching staff, and by championing employee engagement initiatives that reflect Cambrian’s values of accountability, service excellence, and continuous improvement.

In the role of Manager, CAP you will be responsible for:

  • Operations:

    • Maintain effective operations within a highly structured and regulated environment.
    • Oversee the development and refinement of procedures and guidelines for the CAP Department. Ensure procedures and guidelines are current, communicated, and applied in a timely manner.
  • Leadership:

    • Responsible for the leadership, skill development, coaching, and performance management of the CAP Supervisors and responsible for supporting the supervisors in the management of their direct reports.
    • Provide robust oversight of all team activities to promote consistent, high-level performance among employees. Find effective ways to accurately monitor both individual and team performance levels, establishing clear expectations, providing regular and constructive feedback, and holding staff accountable for meeting departmental objectives.
    • Create and maintain a positive work environment that fosters good morale, teamwork, and encourages service excellence and continuous improvement.
    • Foster the team’s ability to work collaboratively towards our strategic goals, while increasing accountability for identifying and implementing solutions.
  • Teamwork:

    • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders across the organization, leveraging consistent communication to support change adoption and optimize both the internal and external member experience.
  • Continuous Improvement:

    • Consistently identify opportunities for operational improvement within administrative processes and lead the implementation of enhancements.
    • Drive strategic initiatives to modernize payment processing, collaborating with CAP leaders to successfully onboard diverse payment work streams.
    • Ensure the effective operationalization and ongoing optimization of new systems following implementation.
  • Continuous Learning and Industry Awareness:

    • Stay informed and proactively update expertise on emerging issues, industry trends, and evolving regulatory requirements within the financial services sector to ensure organizational compliance, strategic alignment, and operational excellence. This includes monitoring regulatory developments, participating in relevant training and professional networks, and applying new knowledge to support business objectives and risk management.
  • All other duties and functions as deemed necessary or required by the Vice-President, Operations & Administration.

Your Education & Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a managerial role with demonstrated experience in leadership, team development, and performance management.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in administrative roles.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment considered an asset.
  • Post secondary education in Business Administration or Management considered an asset.
  • Proficiency in PC applications of Outlook, Word & Excel.
  • Innovative and critical thinker who analyzes information and uses logic to address issues, problems, and challenges.
  • Ability to work well in a diverse environment with multiple and often changing priorities.
