About the role
Job Description The Maintenance Planner assists with daily and long-term maintenance projects, scheduling, and coordinating with other departments. They will also assist with Health and Safety audits, and Food Safety audits, with due emphasis on deadlines, documentation, and details.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Maintenance Supervisors to ensure all shutdowns are planned and scheduled well in advance and work orders prepared
- Coordinate with Stores Supervisor to ensure required parts and material is on site for all shutdowns.
- Maintain the highest level of energy, urgency, and responsiveness to ensure plant production is maximized.
- Organize and maintain Maintenance Equipment Manual Library.
- Assist with CAD drawings.
- Update action plans for other departments relating to maintenance.
- All administration record keeping and updates for Maintenance Manager and or Maintenance Supervisor.
- Research and assist in AFE/Capital projects information and data.
- Prepare and update maintenance department SOP’s.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Trade Certification or College Diploma in a related field would be an asset.
- Must be self-disciplined; with the ability to be well organized, precise, and attentive to details.
- Able to work independently, primarily alone and with minimal supervision.
- Able to work with, and enforce, applicable company policies.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; both written and oral.
- Willingness to take the initiative to share relevant information as required.
- Focus on problem solving and continuous improvement.
- Very customer driven.
- Strong computer skills; knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD and E1.
