About the role
Transdev Canada is hiring an Operations Manager for our Regina location.
As the Operations Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the contract and facility, ensuring the safety of both personnel and passengers. In addition, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and managing financial performance.
Your role
- Plan, organize, and coordinate the division's daily operations to achieve the highest standard of customer and employee satisfaction.
- Work closely with the management team and staff to ensure that superior levels of service are delivered to both internal and external customers.
- Provide effective coaching to employees and assist in their personal development.
- Supervise and lead a team of transportation professionals, including drivers,dispatchers, and maintenance staff.
- Foster a collaborative and motivated workforce, promoting teamwork and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Manage the daily operations of the transportation facility, including scheduling ,dispatching, maintenance, and fleet management.
- Ensure that all routes are operated efficiently on time, and in compliance with service standards.
- Uphold and enforce safety protocols, procedures, and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe working environment for employees and passengers.
- Conduct regular safety training, audits, and inspections to minimize accidents and incidents.
- Adjudicates step two grievances while maintaining a positive labour relations environment.
- Maintain a strong commitment to exceptional customer service, addressing passenger inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Seek opportunities for continuous improvement in service quality and passenger satisfaction.
- Assist in budgeting and financial forecasting for the operations department.
- Implement cost-effective strategies to optimize resources and control expenses.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational efficiency and make data-driven improvements.
- Develop and implement action plans to achieve operational goals and targets.
- Collaborate with external vendors, partners, and regulatory agencies to ensure smooth operations and compliance with contractual agreements and regulations.

Your profile
- You hold a university degree, college diploma or a combination of public transit or other industry-related experience and/or training.
- You have 2 + years of operations management experience, with a demonstration of increased responsibility.
- You have direct experience coordinating a unionized workforce in scheduling and service delivery.
- You have excellent customer service and operational management skills.
- You are organized and possess the ability to manage the daily fast-paced operations, with excellent written and oral communication skills.
- You have strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to make decisions on comprehensive risk assessments.
- You are proficient in various computer programs including but not limited to Microsoft Office.
Your location :
- This is a full-time, on-site position located in Regina, SK.
- Work environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors.
- There is a requirement to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be required, based on operational needs.
