About the role
A & P Cabinets (2000) Ltd. is a Vancouver-based business. We manufacture and install customized kitchen cabinets for the residential and commercial sector. We also fabricate customized furniture for commercial sectors such as hotels, government offices and others, particularly overseas. Like most businesses, we had to downsize during the pandemic to cope with decreased demand and related shutdowns on our furniture export line.
Now, we are looking to redevelop our sales for the furniture line and seek an experienced Purchasing Manager to plan, direct, and evaluate our daily operations. The successful candidate will be tasked with evaluating suppliers and negotiating contracts to ensure the best possible price, quality, and delivery terms for our company.
In addition to local and regional markets, we are especially focused on developing our furniture export business to mainland China and Taiwan, with emphasis on large private and public commercial projects.
Location: Vancouver, BC V6P 3T1 Salary: 65.00 hourly Permanent employment , Full time , 30 hours/Week Employment conditions: Morning, Day ,Evening Starts as soon as possible Benefits: Financial benefits 1 vacancy Languages :English Education: Bachelor's degree Experience :5 years or more
On site Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Responsibilities &Tasks:- Evaluate daily operations Plan and control budget and expenditures Plan and organize daily operations Plan, develop and implement purchasing policies and procedures Oversee the evaluation of the cost and quality of goods or services Authorize the development of specifications for products or services Manage contracts Review and process claims against suppliers Oversee the analysis of data and information Oversee the preparation of reports Advise senior management Overseas Travels required
