We're Looking for a Class 3 Driver to Join Our Team!

As a Class 3 Driver at Cascadia Metals, you'll play a vital role in our operations. We seek a motivated and reliable team member who thrives on responsibility and teamwork. This role is more than just driving, it's about contributing to a collaborative environment where your dedication directly impacts our success.

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
• Overtime: Required when necessary, including short-notice assignments
• Communication: Strong communication skills are essential

Key Responsibilities:

• Safe DrivingDeliveries: Operate a Class 3 commercial vehicle safely within Surrey and surrounding areas, primarily transporting sheet metal products (coil and sheet) using a flat deck with curtain sides.

• NavigationLoad Securement: Ensure smooth deliveries, even to smaller shops, and properly secure loads to maintain product integrity.

• VehicleEquipment Maintenance: Perform pre-trip inspections, maintain a clean and professional company vehicle, and uphold high safety standards.

• DocumentationCompliance: Complete driver logbooks and paperwork related to incoming and outgoing materials.

• CustomerTeam Interaction: Maintain professional communication with customers and team members, acting as an ambassador for Cascadia Metals.

• Shop Assistance: When not on the road, employees will provide hands-on support in the warehouse, this will provide an opportunity to diversify your skills by supporting the operations in addition to your driving responsibilities

• Assist in fostering strong customer relationships by noting and communicating any site-related observations that could improve safety, efficiency, or customer satisfaction.

• During deliveries, remain attentive to customer site requirements and share relevant insights with the operations team to ensure smooth service.

• Provide timely and professional feedback on customer site conditions to support continuous improvement in service delivery.

RequirementsQualifications:

• Valid Class 3 License with Air Brake Certification
• Minimum 5 years of commercial driving experience
• Clean 5-year driver abstract
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience with load securement (sheet metal) is an asset
• Forklift certificationability to load your own truck are assets but not required
