Job Description As an Infrastructure Designer/Architect at Fortinet, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust, scalable, and secure private cloud environments. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that align with Fortinet's security-first approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure Design: Lead the design of server and storage infrastructure, addressing performance, scalability, security, environment and hardware lifecycle.
- Collaboration: Work closely with technical peer teams, project managers and other stakeholders to ensure that infrastructure designs meet environment SLAs.
- Documentation: Develop detailed design documents, including high-level and low-level designs, to guide implementation and ensure consistency across platforms and environments.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to continually enhance Fortinet's infrastructure offerings.
Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years in infrastructure design and architecture, with a focus on server and storage.

Certifications: Relevant certifications such as RHCSA, RHCE, RHCA or equivalent are preferred.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in System Administration

Strong understanding design and integration with servers, storage and networks, logical and physical configurations.

Experience with managing and/or designing cloud platforms.

Soft Skills:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in designing infrastructures for large-scale enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of automation tools and scripting languages.
- Familiarity with compliance standards and best practices in OpenStack and Kubernetes
The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be between $92,000 - $112,000 annually. Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labour market, job type, and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate’s subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, and experience.
