##Position Description
Clinical Research Project Assistant - POND Network
The Crosbie Lab is currently seeking a full time clinical research project assistant (CRPA) to work in the area of neurodevelopmental disorders primarily on the Province of Ontario Neurodevelopmental Disorders (POND) Network project. This research lab conducts clinical-research assessments of children with neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g. ADHD, OCD) and the successful applicant will be interacting with colleagues of various disciplines and levels of training along with interacting with patients and their families.
Here's What You'll Get to Do:
- Work closely with other clinical research staff, manager and/or PI within the research lab
- Work closely with clinical staff within the Psychiatry Department
- Obtain informed consent from study participants and their families
- Administer research tasks to study participants (children and youth)
- Phone subjects to confirm appointments
- Contact participants to follow up on research questionnaires and tasks
- Administration and maintenance of online questionnaire database (REDCap)
- Collecting DNA samples from participants via saliva samples and/or requesting blood draws for samples in EPIC
- Assist with other lab related administrative tasks
- Perform data management including checking data for accuracy and completeness, scoring data, entering data and data cleaning
- Aid in training and supervision of COOP students and volunteers
Here's What You Need:
- Post-secondary degree in psychology, social sciences or a health related discipline
- Preference is given to those with clinical research experience
- Ability to function independently yet collaboratively within a team
- Effective communication, interpersonal, facilitation and organizational skills; as well as excellent attention to detail
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Internet)
- Experience working with children and families is an asset
- Experience working with REDCap is an asset
- A commitment to understanding and aiding in the pursuit of equity, diversity and inclusion objectives
Employment Type:
- Full Time; 35 hours per week
- Temporary; 1 year contract with possibility for renewal
- May require flexible hours, including some weekend and holiday shifts
