**Buffalo Trail Public Schools is seeking a dynamic, student-**centred educator to join the team at Wainwright Elementary School for the 2026–2027 school year. This full-time probationary teaching position includes an Elementary Generalist assignment serving students in Kindergarten to Grade 6.

Specific Position Details

Specific Position Duties
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Training and/or experience in elementary literacy and numeracy instruction, with a focus on strong foundational learning and student success
- Knowledge of and experience implementing differentiated instruction and responsive supports to meet the diverse academic, behavioural, social-emotional, and learning needs of students
- The ability to create welcoming, student-centred learning environments where students feel valued, supported, and successful
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a supportive school team, including collaboration with educational assistants, student support staff, and families
- A commitment to fostering positive relationships that promote student well-being, belonging, and success
Qualifications and General Duties
The successful candidate will possess:
- A valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
- A student-centred philosophy committed to maximizing student learning in a safe and caring environment
- Experience and/or training in Assessment for Learning, including formative and summative assessment practices
- Proficiency with Google Workspace for Education and educational technology to support communication, collaboration, and student learning
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team
- A demonstrated commitment to professional growth and reflective practice aligned with the Alberta Teaching Quality Standard
- A willingness to contribute to extracurricular opportunities and the broader school community would be considered an asset
