At ATCO Electric, we’ve been energizing homes, farms and businesses across north and east-central Alberta for more than 85 years. We serve nearly 229,000 customers in 242 communities and our service area covers nearly two-thirds of Alberta.
We are looking for an Electrical/Civil/Geomatics Engineering student to join the ATCO Survey team. Work term starts in May 2026 for 8 or 12-month period in Grande Prairie or Lloydminster.
Who you are:
- Must be enrolled in a co-op (or internship) program at a recognized Canadian Polytechnic Institute.
- Enrolled in a post-secondary program related to Electrical/Civil/Geomatics Engineering, or similar.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

- Include your most recent transcript in your application.
What you will do:
- Establishes property lines, collects topographic features, and establishes 3rd party crossing and construction/design layout for distribution, transmission, and civil teams.
- Creates 3rd party crossing drawings and individual ownership plans to support the acquisition of land rights.
- Creates designed-based drawings showing the collected topographic field data in relation to our existing and new facilities.

- Civil3D
- Revit
- GIS
- ArcMap
Working Conditions:
- 60% Office-based, 40% Field-based.
