Responsibilities Coordinates the flow of engineering drawings and specifications, checks drawings and specifications for completeness, and files.

Maintains and updates indexes of drawings and retrieves and arranges copying of drawings. Prepares and transfers documents for storage offsite.

Checks clerical details of contract specifications and arranges photocopying, binding and assembly of contract documents.

Receives requests for contract documents, sells tender packages and maintains related records. Checks as-built drawings for inclusion of changes made during construction, types a variety of routine correspondence and performs miscellaneous clerical duties.

Assigns identification to all incoming and outgoing correspondence, in accordance with Records Management System, and enters details into database.

Indexes technical reports, specifications, and manuals.

Maintains database of records information, for daily correspondence and contractors’ shop drawing submittals.

Integrates Records Management Centre and Site files and ships to offsite storage.

Qualifications Requires Grade 12 including courses in word processing and spreadsheet software and office procedures. Requires one (1) year previous experience in an engineering environment involving the recording, identification and storage of drawings and working knowledge of records management, storage and retrieval systems, requiring attention to detail, accuracy and ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.

Other Information This role will support design and construction of OMC4, a new SkyTrain Operations and Maintenance Centre in Coquitlam. OMC4 is being built to support SkyTrain systems expansion over the next five years, including the new Broadway Subway and Surrey Langley SkyTrain lines. As the largest project in TransLink’s Engineering portfolio, OMC4 is an exciting, fast paced initiative involving over 60 project team members, along with the construction team, design team, and key stakeholders. All parties are working collaboratively toward a shared goal of connecting the region by providing a sustainable, reliable transportation network.

Recruitment Process: An applicant will be required to demonstrate their suitability for this position by meeting the minimum level of qualifications and experience in order to be invited into the selection process. A standard interview format will be used including general, scenario and behavioural descriptive interview questions.

Work Schedule 37.5 hours per week.

This is a full-time temporary position for 24 months.

Work Designation Hybrid

This position offers the flexibility of working both on-site and remotely within B.C.

Rate of Pay Salary $4,882 - $5,869 per month (Actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience and internal parity).

The Total Compensation Package includes Extended Health, Transit Pass and enrollment in the Public Service Pension Plan upon eligibility.
