At National Seating & Mobility (NSM), we don't just repair equipment—we restore independence.
Every day, we help children, adults, and seniors live more independent lives by providing customized mobility and accessibility equipment. From wheelchairs and ceiling lifts to stairlifts, ramps, and hospital beds, our technicians play a hands-on role in making a real difference in their communities.
No two days are the same, and every completed job has a lasting impact on someone's quality of life.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Field Technician, you'll spend your days solving problems, working with your hands, and meeting incredible people throughout your community.
You'll:
- Deliver, install, and service mobility and accessibility equipment in customers' homes and healthcare facilities
- Assemble, adjust, troubleshoot, and repair equipment
- Teach customers and caregivers how to safely use their equipment
- Install products such as grab bars, ceiling lifts, ramps, stairlifts, hospital beds, walkers, and wheelchairs
- Complete wheelchair setup documentation and upload records
- Help maintain our warehouse and rental equipment
- Work alongside therapists and healthcare professionals to ensure every client receives the right solution
- Build relationships with customers by providing outstanding service and support
Other duties as assigned that include inventory or any other task.
What Makes You a Great Fit?
You don't need to come from the medical industry, we're looking for people with mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn. You might be perfect for this role if you:
- Love fixing things and solving mechanical problems
- Have experience using hand and power tools
- Enjoy working independently while being part of a supportive team
- Are organized and dependable
- Like meeting new people and helping others
You'll also need:
- A valid driver's license
- The ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Eligibility to work in Canada
Experience with medical equipment is an asset—but we'll teach you what you need to know.
