Our world class client in Vaughan needs to hire a Manufacturing Engineer. Their ideal candidate has been employed in a controls focused role while being employed with a tier 1 or tier 2 automotive manufacturing company.
Work Setting: On Site
Shift Schedule: Days Location Details: Vaughan, ON
Responsibilities
Process Optimization: Design and refine manufacturing methods to maximize quality, improve OEE, and reduce scrap. Launch Readiness: Ensuring robust process design and continuous improvement (CI) for high volume production Equipment Procurement: Define specifications, write SOWs, and procure machinery, tooling, fixtures, and gauging. Plant Layouts: Plan and execute equipment integration and facilities layouts. Compliance: Maintain necessary documentation to support divisional and quality requirements.
Qualifications
BS in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of automotive component manufacturing experience, ideally focusing on metal forming. Strong command of core engineering tools: APQP, FMEA, GD&T, SPC, Root Cause Analysis, and Statistical/Measurement techniques. Competent in computer-aided design, particularly SolidWorks and DraftSight. Well-versed in IATF 16949, QS9000, and ISO 14001 regulatory standards.
