WHO YOU ARE:
As a Maintenance Coordinator / Operator, you are accountable for overseeing maintenance of the facilities, building relationships and vendor management. You are also expected to operate machinery on an intermittent basis, especially Alstar’s pipe profiling machine (HGG PC900RB) and plasma cutter (Hypertherm MAXPRO 200).
You are expected to be the liaison between maintenance teams, vendors and other departments within the organization to ensure all tasks are carried out in a time efficient manner.

What We’re Looking For From You – If this describes you, we’d love to meet!
- A strong leader with hands-on experience in fabrication or manufacturing environments
- Deep technical expertise a Subject Matter Expert for HGG machine repair.
- 5+ years or related maintenance experience is required, including at least 5 years specifically on HGG Pipe Profiling equipment (such as SPC, PC, MPC) and Hypertherm Plasma systems (such as MAXPRO, HPR, XPR)
- 5+ years experience on maintenance and repair of hydraulic, pneumatic and rotating systems.
Duties include:
Facility Maintenance
-
Coordinate the operations and maintenance of facilities (e.g. electrical, HVAC, plumbing, building automation, fire detection and suppression, security and communication systems, parking lots etc)

Repair equipment, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems and rotating equipment.

Follow and regularly review/adjust the Preventative Maintenance Program (PMP) for the facilities
-
Act as the primary point of contact between the different shop departments, ensuring their needs are effectively communicated and met.

Conduct regular inspections of facilities for compliance, performance, safety and asset integrity

Oversee annual equipment inspections/repairs

Follow-up on the repairs status and cost

Maintain relevant documentation, schedules and prepare standard reports

Making critical safety decisions in situations not covered by our manual
Machinery Operation
- As required, for reasons that may include shift coverage, operator sick days or vacation coverage, operate various machinery and equipment. Equipment include HGG PC900 Pipe Profiler, Hypertherm MAXPRO 200 plasma cutter, Oxy-acetylene pipe bevellers, forklifts, telehandlers (Zoom Boom), and overhead cranes.
Vendor Management

Manage and administer vendor contracts to ensure compliance with contractual terms

Collaborating with third-party contractors and understanding their requirements
Cost Management
