Organizational Mission
The Good News Broadcasting Association of Canada (GNBAC) is seeking a person to fulfill a full-time in-house role for Back to the Bible Canada which exists to faithfully teach the Bible with clarity and relevance to bring people into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. We're seeking a creative, faith-driven Social Media Specialist to share biblical truth and grow our online community across digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation
- Design / schedule engaging posts (graphic & video) for ministry and marketing materials
- Write compelling, mission-focused captions that are accessible and engaging
- Adapt ministry content for various social media formats and diverse audiences
- Maintain a consistent, documented posting schedule across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.)
- Ensure all content aligns with ministry mission and values
Community Management
- Foster a positive online community aligned with ministry values
- Moderate and respond to comments and messages promptly and respectfully
Strategy & Analytics
- Develop and execute social media strategies to expand reach and engagement
- Create content calendars reflecting current ministry programs, events, and initiatives
- Track performance metrics, provide regular reports, recommend strategic improvements
- Stay current with platform trends and best practices
Brand Alignment
- Ensure all content reflects the ministry's theological position and voice
- Maintain visual consistency across platforms
- Coordinate with Design Lead, ensure cohesive branding across all marketing channels
Qualifications:
- Heart for ministry and solid biblical knowledge
- Strong understanding of major social media platforms
- Proficiency in graphic design tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) and basic video editing
- Excellent written communication skills
- Experience with social media management tools
- Proficiency with Meta Business Suite and digital advertising
- Eligible to work in Canada (You are a Canadian Citizen, Landed Immigrant of Canada, Permanent Canadian Resident or you have a current Work Visa for Canada)
