Position Summary
JOB DESCRIPTION
Under the general direction of the Assistant General Manager, this position is responsible for the overall management and profitability of the Food & Beverage outlet operations at the site level. Assists with the planning, directing and implementing all F&B initiatives while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members. Develops performance objectives and delivers performance evaluations for direct reports. Actively participates in the recruitment process. Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.
Key Accountabilities
Provides leadership, direction and mentoring to the F&B operation; develops performance objectives and delivers performance evaluations for direct reports Assists in the planning, development and implementation of F&B strategic plans as directed at the site level Maximizes the revenues of the F&B outlets while minimizing operating costs Manages labor costs; schedules and supervises team members; verifies time and attendance; assigns shift work assignments when necessary Assists in the promotion/marketing of the business Offers food and beverage expertise to internal and external customers Carries out inspections on a regular basis to ensure consistency; reports maintenance and supply deficiencies Assists the monthly inventory count and forwards discrepancies to management Takes action as directed on the guest satisfaction Comment Card Program (F&B) Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, management, team members and vendors Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations Manages other initiatives as required
Education And Qualifications
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Food & Beverage operations managements Knowledge and/or experience within the entertainment industry an asset Minimum 5 years of people management and progressive leadership experience Experience working in a unionized environment an asset Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficient in use of Squirrel System and Optimum Control (Inventory Control System) as well as computer literacy in MS Office and Excel. Ability to work various shifts with the understanding that the F&B department, including the buffet, is materially operating on evenings and weekends. Superb guest service skills with a positive, infectious attitude Strong understanding of self and others when communicating with team members and guests A genuine passion for providing extraordinary service to our guests in an effort to create great experiences and achieve consistent excellence in service Experience in budgeting and cost efficiency initiatives is an asset Ability to exceed internal and external guest expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication
