About the role

Shipper & Receiver Tofino, BC

Cermaq Canada is currently looking to fill the full-time position of a Shipper & Receiver, working within our shipping and receiving department at our Tofino warehouse & yard. This position is part of a small team and is responsible for carrying out the daily tasks associated with shipping & receiving, including forklift operations and assisting in the daily organization of incoming and outgoing inventory, yard & warehouse.

Position Accountabilities:

  • This position will be responsible for receiving incoming shipments from multiple vendors.
  • Shipping supplies to vendors, our processing plant, sea sites and offices.

Application Requirements:

  • Previous experience in equipment operation and certification in driving a forklift is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills, especially in inventory management, tracking, shipping and receiving.
  • Strong time management skills with ability to multi-task.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Computer skills (MS Excel/MS Word and other Windows based software) are a requirement.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • This is a permanent position based out of our Tofino operations. Applicants are responsible for their own transportation and accommodation.
  • This position operates 5 days a week, Monday to Friday (40 hours per week). Start times will vary based on operational needs but are normally between 7:00 - 8:00 AM. Alternate work shifts, and overtime may be required.

  • Prerequisites to hiring are a physical fitness test and a criminal record check.
