**Term of Appt:**As required, not to exceed 35 hours per week

**Reporting to:**Campus Administrator
Salary:
Classification 5 $25.02 per hour in accordance with the BCGEU Support Collective Agreement. Temporary employees are provided an additional $0.58/hour in lieu of benefits, and 6% vacation pay for all regular hours worked. The period between Christmas day and New Year's Day is unpaid during the closure.
This position receives an additional $0.67 per hour for Chetwynd isolation allowance.
Description:
Invigilators supervise students writing a variety of exams (which may include read or scribed delivery of exams) on the Chetwynd campus including marking/grading CAAT exams, executing exam requirements from the examining institution and following invigilation protocol for NLC exams. Invigilators use NLC's database (Colleague) to enter scores from internal assessments.
**Please note:**Shifts may be scheduled during the day, evening and/or on weekends.
Shift preferences and availability requirements:
- 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
- 12:00 - 4:00 pm
- 3:30 - 7:30 pm
Qualifications:
Required:
- Completion of Grade 12.
- Experience and proficiency with the current version of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to invigilate all exams strictly adhering to guidelines, maintaining confidentiality and the security of all tests, and completion of necessary documentation for all tests.
- Ability to learn and use databases.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as strong record keeping and organizational skills.
Preferred:
- Experience invigilating exams in a post-secondary education setting.
