Description:
WHO YOU ARE:
This Human Resources Business Partner role is a one‑year temporary contract reporting to the HR Manager, Talent and Culture. The position will support the team’s evolving needs and contribute to projects related to large‑scale system implementations. The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
EMPLOYEE RELATIONS
- Collaborate with Regional Directors and District Supervisors at Stores, to resolve employee relations concerns, performance management, disciplinary action (including terminations) and workplace investigations in alignment with legislative requirements and internal policies;
- Coach and support leaders in the application and interpretation of HR policies and procedures related to performance management, employee relations, benefits and employment legislation;
- Provide support to employees and management with respect to HR matters;
- Support staffing challenges at stores and provide recommendations on proactive recruitment actions in collaboration with the HR team members;
- Oversee workplace health and safety compliance by providing guidance on health and safety prevention, incident claims and inspections;
- Participate in ongoing store visits, both locally and specific to your region;
EMPLOYEE EXPERIENCE PROJECTS
- Proactively identify recurring challenges and trends in the field, and develop innovative resources and tools to address evolving needs effectively;
- Work in partnership with our HR subject matter experts to support your regions, including but not limited to culture and engagement initiatives and total rewards;
- Support and develop HR projects as per business needs such as developing the document manager module of the HRIS;
- Perform other duties, as required.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related discipline.
- At least 2 years of experience in a related role.
- Knowledge of Canadian Labour Laws
- Excellent technical abilities (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Understand and maintain a high level of confidentiality
- A clear sense of urgency to achieve results
- Keen sense of time management, adaptability and flexibility
- A team player who builds strong relationships based on trust and integrity
- Excellent customer support, collaboration, organization skills, diplomacy and attention to details;
- English and French, spoken and written
- Experience in Retail is an asset.
- Travel as required.
