About the role

We are looking for a transportation cost specialist who will report to the logistics strategy team leader. You will work within the logistics strategy department.

YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
Evaluate and quantify the impact of supplier changes on transportation by collaborating with the purchasing group.

Optimize the inbound supply chain and the global distribution network for our recreational products through logistics strategy projects.

Act as a key resource for transportation in the early phases of product development (Early Gates NPD) and new factories/distribution centres.

Perform logistics network simulations using simulation software (e.g. Anylogistix).

Calculating transportation costs for all new product introductions or new platforms (Gates NPD 0 to 3).

Calculate transportation costs for all feasibility studies (business case) related to recreational products.

Performing transportation network analysis to optimize, or confirm transportation assumptions.

Developing and implementing robust transportation cost modelling.

Lead projects related to the continuous improvement of our business processes.

THIS ROLE IS A GOOD FIT IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

A Bachelor's degree in Logistics/Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

A minimum of 2 years' relevant field experience in a distribution centre, manufacturing plant logistics department, or transportation company.

Advanced knowledge of Excel software for data processing.

Fluency in English and French (written and spoken). English is required in order to communicate with internal and external stakeholders outside Quebec or unilingual English speakers on a daily basis. Spanish and Vietnamese — an asset.

Knowledge of transportation management software such as SAP TMS would be an asset.

Ability to work with and analyze data from external and internal sources.

Ability to communicate information clearly to various audience levels.

Recognized leadership skills with the ability to demonstrate exemplary work ethic.

Highly autonomous in performing duties and able to demonstrate tenacity in managing several projects simultaneously and providing turnkey deliveries.

A creative mindset with a flair for innovation and challenging the status quo.

Ability to integrate new work tools in a constantly changing environment.

Available to travel occasionally.

This position will be based in Sherbrooke( Quebec) or in Valcourt (Quebec).
