About the role
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Roll-off / Tractor Trailer / front load trucks and wheel loader in a safe and efficient manner.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance.
- Perform minor mechanical repairs and assist maintenance staff when required.
- Ensure materials are handled, loaded, and transported according to safety and environmental standards.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation of vehicle/equipment use and service.
- Support yard operations as needed, including cleanup and snow removal.
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
- Valid Class DZ driver’s license (AZ preferred).
- Minimum 2 years of heavy equipment and/or truck operation experience.
- Experience in waste management, recycling, or aggregate industries.
- Certification or training in heavy equipment operation or maintenance.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and basic repair ability.
- Safety-first mindset with proven reliability and initiative.
- Ability to work outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions.
- Team-oriented attitude with good communication skills.
