Job Title: Application Developer, Intermediate - IFS
Job Summary
The Intermediate IFS Application Developer position is responsible for moderately complex development tasks related to customizations for the IFS Cloud ERP system.
Responsibility
- Develop new IFS customizations to meet the business needs of the facilities, or the corporation on a whole
- Transfer existing IFS v8 customizations to the IFS Cloud platform
- Provide 2nd tier support to existing IFS Cloud customizations.
- Work with Application Architect and System Analyst – Development to help design customizations
- Mentor and provide leadership to Junior Application Developers.
- Research new concepts as required to develop innovative solutions to business problems. Attend meetings with clients and their representatives to collect information to clarify project specifications, make recommendations and reach agreement in defining system needs.
Academic/Educational Requirements
Post-Secondary Education in Computer Science or related field.
Required Skills/Experience
- Minimum three years' experience as an Application Developer.
- Knowledge of General Programming Concepts and Languages.
- Expert knowledge and experience with Microsoft SQL language (and/or Oracle PL/SQL) including the ability to develop complex stored procedures using such concepts as cursors.
- Experience deciphering documents and design specifications.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate and integrate work with peers.
- Excellent documentation skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to problem solve and troubleshoot in a fast paced and demanding environment. Flexible and adaptable.
