Title: Asset Protection Manager, Supply Chain
Position Overview:
The Asset Protection Manager, Supply Chain is a strategic leader responsible for the end-to-end execution of asset protection and inventory integrity programs across the Canadian distribution network. Leveraging expertise in process improvement and advanced analytics, the Asset Protection Manager, Supply Chain identifies operational gaps and implements data-driven strategies to mitigate shrink. As a key partner to Supply Chain leadership, this role translates complex logistics variances into actionable insights, driving a culture of operational integrity and excellence within all internally managed facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Operational Integration
-**Inventory Integrity:**Seamlessly integrate Asset Protection protocols into inbound, outbound, and inventory control workflows to minimize risk without compromising supply chain velocity. -**Internal Partnership:**Serve as the primary AP consultant for Distribution Centre (DC) General Managers, ensuring that operational strategies align with divisional shrink-reduction goals. -**Risk Mitigation:**Proactively identify and resolve potential internal and external threats; design and implement measures to secure the physical facility and the movement of goods. -**Floor-Engaged Collaboration:**Maintain a consistent presence on the facility floor, collaborating directly with DC associates and warehouse leadership to identify real-time operational hurdles, safety-security crossovers, and risk-prone workflows.
Process Improvement and Project Management
-**Operational Excellence:**Lead the creation and continuous improvement of supply chain processes focused on accuracy (Full Pallet Audits, Right Pallet/Right Truck audits), seal compliance, and reduction of overages, shortages, and damages. -**Facility Auditing:**Facilitate and oversee operational reviews and divisional audits to ensure adherence to Home Depot’s physical security and operational standards. -**Technology & Change Management:**Act as the primary lead for the implementation of new AP technologies ensuring seamless adoption by DC associates as well as managing existing AP technology (advanced CCTV and access control). -**Surveillance Support:**Lead internal and external investigations by synthesizing CCTV footage, system data, and direct feedback from supply chain personnel to reach high-integrity conclusions.
Insight-Driven Action & Financial Oversight
-**Actionable Outcomes:**Use existing reporting and complex logistics data sets to identify "outlier" facilities, performing deep-dive analyses to determine root causes of variance. -**Executive Communication:**Translate reporting insights into clear, evidence-based recommendations for improvement, presenting findings to executive leadership to drive organizational alignment. -**Compliance:**Use performance data to identify and address opportunities or gaps that contribute to downstream shrink at the store level.
External Resource Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration
-**Vendor Governance:**Manage the relationship and day-to-day performance of external auditors and security guard services. Ensure third-party partners meet performance KPIs, ROI benchmarks, and Home Depot’s standards of conduct. -**Performance Coaching:**Drive a high-performance culture among external resources, focusing on accuracy, accountability, and professional standards in the field. -**Field Liaison:**Serve as the critical bridge between the DCs, store-side Asset Protection teams, and field operations to resolve product issues and discrepancies. -**Investigations:**Lead internal and external investigations and interviews within the Supply Chain environment in close partnership with Human Resources and Legal.

Travel Requirements:
-**20–40%:**Frequent travel to various Distribution Centres and Supply Chain sites across the Canadian division.
Working Conditions:
-**Environment:**Hybrid—Standard office setting with regular/frequent work within a DC warehouse environment that can be dusty, noisy, and subject to temperature extremes. -**Physical:**Ability to stand, walk, and navigate large-scale distribution facilities for extended periods.
Minimum Requirements:
-**Education:**Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. -**Certifications:**LPC, LPQ, or CPP a benefit but not required. -**Experience:**5+ years in Asset Protection, Logistics, or Supply Chain Operations. -**Leadership:**Proven experience in vendor management, leading cross-functional projects, or supervising external teams.
