Reporting to the Director, Learning Initiatives, as the Program Manager, Practice-Specific Learning, you will lead the end-to-end design and delivery of practice-focused learning experiences that support associate learning in our legal practice groups. You will partner with subject matter experts across the Firm to distill complex legal and procedural knowledge into effective and engaging learning solutions. This is not a traditional legal Professional Development role—you will work in multiple modalities, embrace emerging technologies including AI, and design and deliver a comprehensive, high-impact and practical learning curriculum.
Major Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end learning and instructional design projects, from needs analysis through development, implementation, and evaluation. Ability to quickly launch, adapt and operationalize learning
- Collaborate with SMEs to develop a comprehensive curriculum strategy, identify key learning objective and priorities, and design and develop the related programs and learning events
- Apply various learning methodologies including blended learning, eLearning, instructor-led training, microlearning, interactive elearning, simulations, experiential learning and performance support tools
- Leverage educational technologies (LMS, authoring tools, content libraries, AI tools, etc.) to maximize learning impact and efficiency
- Apply evidence-based adult learning principles to create efficient, scalable, and results-driven learning programs that blend into the existing learning ecosystem
- Understand and make recommendations on learning trends, legal industry changes, and emerging technologies within the scope of practice-specific learning
- Collaborate with Learning and Development team to ensure seamless program execution and logistics
Position Requirements
Education and Experience
The position requires a university degree in law, education, or educational technology and a minimum of 7 years of experience in learning and development, including at least two years as a program lead or equivalent. A Juris Doctor with certification in adult learning preferred. Experience in a law firm or professional services organization would be a significant asset.

We are currently working in a hybrid work arrangement, which includes a requirement to work primarily in the office and flexibility to work remotely up to 2 days per week.
