About the role

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) based in Canada. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated early-career sales professional to join a fast-growing fintech environment focused on transforming global B2B payments. In this role, you will play a key part in building and accelerating pipeline growth by identifying, engaging, and qualifying prospective business clients. You will work in a dynamic, high-energy sales organization where collaboration, experimentation, and continuous improvement are encouraged. The position offers strong exposure to modern sales tools, outbound strategies, and data-driven prospecting techniques. You will interact closely with Account Executives, marketing teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive meaningful revenue impact. Accountabilities: In this role, you will be responsible for generating and qualifying new business opportunities to support revenue growth across B2B markets. You will focus on outbound prospecting, lead qualification, and pipeline development while working closely with sales and marketing teams. Key responsibilities include: Prospecting and identifying potential B2B clients through outbound channels such as email, phone, LinkedIn, and digital outreach Qualifying inbound and outbound leads and scheduling meetings for Account Executives Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of sales activity and pipeline data in HubSpot Researching target accounts, industries, and decision-makers within fintech, payments, and related sectors Building and managing outbound sequences, cadences, and follow-up strategies Collaborating with marketing and sales teams to improve outreach performance and messaging Consistently achieving activity, outreach, and pipeline generation targets Staying informed on fintech trends, payment solutions, and industry developments Contributing ideas to improve sales processes and prospect engagement strategies Requirements: The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and eager to build a career in sales within a fast-paced fintech environment. You should be comfortable with outbound communication, learning new tools, and engaging with business decision-makers.
