We are currently seeking a System & Database Administrator to join our team. We are open to considering applications across Canada.

As our Systems & Database Administrator, you’ll be the go-to expert ensuring our IT environment runs securely, reliably, and efficiently. You’ll manage servers, databases, and cloud platforms while strengthening our cybersecurity posture and supporting business growth.

What you’ll be doing:

• Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows servers and virtualization platforms
• Administer Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory, and Intune environments
• Design, implement, and manage SQL/MySQL databases (on-premises and cloud)
• Monitor performance, optimize queries, and maintain strong backup/disaster recovery processes
• Safeguard systems and data through proactive cybersecurity measures and compliance with privacy regulations
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and manage incident response
• Administer user access with role-based controls and auditing
• Collaborate with IT, operations, and data teams to support digital transformation initiatives

What you bring:

• A degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (certifications like Azure, Security+, ITIL, CISSP are a plus)
• 5+ years of experience in systems administration and database management
• Hands-on expertise with SQL/MySQL, database performance, and security
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory, Intune, and Windows Server
• Proven track record implementing cybersecurity tools and frameworks
• Solid troubleshooting skills and the ability to solve complex technical challenges
• Clear communicator who can collaborate across teams and document effectively
• Organized, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Bonus: experience in healthcare, regulated industries, or eCommerce
