Position Summary

The AI Strategist is responsible for transforming operational processes through AI and automation technology. Reporting to the IT Operations Manager, this role identifies opportunities for tactical improvements and leads the deployment of scalable automated solutions that enhance accuracy and efficiency. The AI Strategist will work cross-functionally with internal teams and external experts to deliver both immediate impact and long-term innovation. By automating manual workflows and applying AI to reduce turnaround times and improve reliability of outputs, this role will identify and champion transformational ideas.

Job Description

  • Assess current workflows across departments to identify opportunities for efficiency and automation
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend AI and automation tools suited to business needs
  • Pilot, configure, and implement selected tools with minimal disruption to existing systems
  • Develop step-by-step documentation, guides, and training materials for staff adoption
  • Deliver workshops, demos, and training sessions to ensure teams can confidently use new tools
  • Monitors results of implemented solutions, tracking efficiency gains and opportunities for refinement
  • Stay current on AI and automation trends, proactively identifying tools with high potential value
  • Work collaboratively with the internal IT team and external consultants to integrate AI and automation into software platforms such as Revit, Microsoft 365, and ERP/MES systems

Requirements

  • Class 5 driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Available to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, with flexibility for overtime and occasional Saturdays
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365
  • Familiarity with AI platforms
  • Passion for continuous improvement and operation efficiency
  • Strong written and verbal communication; a persuasive and motivating communicator who can encourage adoption of new technologies and inspire others to embrace change
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Assets

  • Familiarity with automation tools
  • Experience with ERP/MES software
  • Experience implementing automation or AI solutions, process optimization, or technology integration in a business setting
  • Proven ability to analyze workflows, identify inefficiencies, and design practical solutions that improve efficiency and accuracy
