What will you do? The Maintenance Technician ensures the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of Siemens manufacturing equipment. This role performs setup, preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on critical assets, including ovens, plasma systems, ultrasonic welders, laser etchers, and potting/dispensing machines, to minimize downtime, increase equipment reliability, and support production performance.

Responsibilities: Equipment Maintenance & Technical Support

  • Execute setup, preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance across Siemens equipment including ovens, plasma systems, ultrasonic welders, potting/dispensing systems, mixing machines, laser etchers.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and controls issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Support installation, commissioning, relocation, and decommissioning of equipment.
  • Perform calibrations, alignments, functional tests, and verification checks.
  • Document all maintenance activities in compliance with established procedures.
  • Support internal/external audits, inspections, and compliance activities.

Electrical, Controls & Automation

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and P&IDs.
  • Troubleshoot PLC‑based equipment.
  • Work safely with sensors, actuators, wiring, and control components.

Spare Parts & Documentation

  • Manage spare parts inventory for assigned equipment and identify critical spares.
  • Collaborate with procurement for parts replenishment.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date manuals, procedures, and equipment documentation.

Production & Cross‑Functional Support

  • Provide on‑call or shift support to reduce downtime.
  • Partner with Production, Engineering, Quality, and suppliers to resolve technical issues.
  • Support Lean, TPM, 5S, and other continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Train operators and technicians on basic equipment care and safe operation.

What will you need to succeed?

  • Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field.
  • 5–10 years maintenance experience in manufacturing.
  • Experience maintaining Siemens or similar industrial equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
  • Experience with PLCs, HMIs, and automation.

Salary is commensurate with experience, and ranges between $60,400 - $90,000 CAD, excluding benefits.
