About the School

The school is located in the upscale Warsaw suburb of Wilanow, where old meets new and city meets country. The historical Royal Wilanow overlooks new, stylish cafes and shops as well as leafy green fields and woods. Numbers for 24/25 have grown to over 400 pupils and there are waiting lists in most year groups.

We are strongly committed to the highest standards of education. BSW successfully completed COBIS Patron's Accreditation in November 2021.

BSW joined the International Schools Partnership in 2023.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Spanish language lessons in accordance with the school curriculum in English. Create a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment that supports the diverse learning needs of all students. Foster students' confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing in Spanish. Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to support different learning styles and abilities. Assess, record, and report on the progress, development, and attainment of students regularly. Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents or guardians. Develop and maintain classroom routines that promote respect, responsibility, and positive behaviour. Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and school leadership to enhance the educational experience for all students. Participate in staff meetings, professional development, parent-teacher conferences, and school events. Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers to support student learning and well-being. Uphold school policies and maintain high standards of teaching, learning, and professionalism. Identify and respond to the individual needs of students, including those with special educational needs or learning difficulties. Integrate technology and digital tools to enhance learning and engagement.

Skills

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

Relevant teaching qualifications. Native or min. C1 proficiency in Spanish. Experience teaching Spanish to children, preferably within a primary school setting. Excellent classroom management and communication skills. A passion for language learning and cultural education. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

At least C1 proficiency in English - instruction language is English
