Paladin Security is Hiring a Security Guard! Location: Belleville, ON

Wage: $18.54/hour

Schedule: Continental Nights Only (22:00-08:00)

Responsibilities As a Security Guard at Loyalist College, you will:

• Greet and interact with staff, students, and visitors politely and professionally.
• Enforce parking by-law regulations on campus.
• Patrol all parking lots at the Loyalist College campus twice per day.
• Issue tickets for unauthorized parking, lack of parking passes, parking in wrong lots, handicap or carpool spaces without permits, fire routes, or grass areas.
• Record all tickets and upload photos at the end of each shift.
• Carry a radio for safety and communication; testify in court when required.
• Ensure all staff, visitors, and vendors follow campus protocols.
• Provide assistance and wayfinding support to staff and students.
• Conduct proactive, consistent patrols of the campus.
• Maintain professionalism and calm during emergencies.
• Write reports, take detailed notes, and monitor surveillance systems.
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• Valid Security License for the province of Ontario.

• Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor).

• Must not be a current Loyalist College student.

• English fluency (oral and written) required; French considered an asset.

• Legally authorized to work in Canada.

• Previous experience in security, by-law, or parking enforcement is an asset.

• Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB).

• Applicants without these certifications may attend Paladin's training program prior to onboarding (2 days in Kingston).

• Training costs are covered by Paladin with a 6-month commitment to the position.
