Duties & Responsibilities
- Utilize Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to create and deliver high-quality maps and spatial information products for various departments within Conuma.
- Ensure the accuracy and quality of cartographic products to support the operational and strategic needs of the company.
- Conduct spatial analysis using maps and data sets to support business decision-making.
- Compile, manage, and maintain spatial data sets from diverse sources, including LiDAR, field observations, and environmental monitoring data.
- Communicate effectively with departments such as Engineering, Environmental, and Operations to understand and meet their GIS needs.
Education, Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Geography, Geomatics, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a GIS role, preferably within the mining or natural resources industry.
- Valid Driver's License
- Experience working with environmental monitoring data and field observations is an asset.
- Strong understanding of spatial data management, including the compilation and maintenance of diverse data sets.
Technical Competencies & Skills
- Ability to adhere to a 5x2 schedule with 8-hour shifts.
- Must be able to communicate in English.
- Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and cartographic design.
- Strong analytical skills, particularly in spatial data analysis and interpretation.
- Familiarity with remote sensing data, including LiDAR, and its integration into GIS.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to translate complex spatial data into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and cartographic design.
- Strong analytical skills, particularly in spatial data analysis and interpretation.
- Familiarity with remote sensing data, including LiDAR, and its integration into GIS.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to translate complex spatial data into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Wage and Benefits
Conuma Resources takes pride in providing industry-competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package that truly values our employees. Specifically for the Processing Engineer we offer an annual base salary range of $80,000.00 - $95,000.00, along with a variety of bonuses. These bonuses include monthly efficiency bonuses linked to safety and production, quarterly retention bonuses, and a performance bonus tailored to reward your contributions. Our benefits package also includes paid vacation and personal days, 7% RRSP matching, and 100% employer-paid extended health and dental care, among other valuable perks.

- Tumbler Ridge to our Quintette Mine, Wolverine Mine, Brule Mine, and Willow Creek Mine
- Chetwynd to our Brule Mine and Willow Creek Mine
