Classification: Grid 27, BCGEU Membership

Office Location: Fort St John

Salary: $83,312.49 – $94,991.51 – Permanent Full-Time, based on a 35-hour work week.

An additional 10.75% Job Family Market Multiplier will be added to the posted salary.
An additional 3% Location Allowance will be added to posted salary for employees based in northern location.

About the Job:
The Review Approval Resource Officer provides management services, specialized support and technical expertise to project reviews and renders complex statutory decisions on industry proposals for complex provincial oil and gas development applications. The position holds delegated approval authority on routine and complex permit authorizations on standard industry applications and coordinates, administers and tracks the BCER’s delegated authority under the Energy Resource Activities Act on environmental protection, land use, forestry, resource conservation, engineering and First Nations partnerships. The incumbent assesses applications and ensures all legislative requirements and stakeholder concerns are identified, addressed and resolved as appropriate, prior to recommending the issuance of permits.
