Position Summary
We are seeking a Quality Control Analyst / Tester to work alongside a Business Analyst, Power Platform Architect / Lead Senior Developer, and cross-functional delivery team. This role is responsible for planning and executing manual and automated testing on business application software , ensuring high quality across apps, workflows, integrations, and data.
The Tester will primarily use Azure DevOps for test management and defect tracking, building traceability from user stories through test cases to release sign-off. The ideal candidate is comfortable testing low-code solutions end-to-end and developing automation to scale regression coverage.
Key Responsibilities

Define and maintain test strategy and test plans business application delivery (functional, regression, integration, data, security, performance).

Create and manage test suites, test cases, and test execution cycles in Azure DevOps Test Plans, ensuring traceability to backlog items.

Design and build automated test scripts to support regression and critical-path validation (UI and/or API level).

Validate acceptance criteria with the Business Analyst and technical feasibility with the Architect.

Perform end-to-end scenario testing across app flow data integration surfaces.

Log, triage, and track defects in Azure DevOps, including severity/prioritization recommendations and retest confirmation.

Support release readiness by providing test completion reports, defect summaries, and go/no-go input.

Participate in agile ceremonies (planning, refinement, demos, retros) and advise on test effort and risk early.

Continuously improve QC practices: reusable test assets, automation coverage, and test data management.
Qualifications
- 4+ years in QC/testing roles with a blend of manual and automation testing.
- Demonstrated experience with Azure DevOps Test Management (test plans, test suites, test cases, defects, reporting).
- Experience testing low-code / SaaS / web applications with complex workflows and data rules.
- Strong understanding of testing fundamentals: test design techniques,
boundary/negative testing, regression approaches, and risk-based testing.
- Familiarity with automation tools/frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium,
Cypress, or similar (tool-agnostic; prove ability to automate).
- Ability to validate data and integrations (REST APIs, JSON payloads, connector outputs) using Postman or equivalent API query, debug and dev tools.
- Ability to validate outputs with independent queries using T-SQL, Fetch or
equivalent data query methods

Solid communication skills and ability to work closely with developers and analysts.
Preferred Skills
- Direct Power Platform testing experience (Power Apps, Dataverse, Power Automate).
- Experience with Microsoft tooling (e.g., EasyRepro, Power Platform Monitor, Dataverse Plugin Trace Logs).
- API test automation experience (Postman/Newman, REST-assured, or similar).
- Understanding of CI/CD and how tests fit into pipelines.
- Exposure to performance testing concepts for apps/flows and delegation
constraints in Power Apps.

Microsoft certifications (e.g., PL-400/PL-200, or relevant QA certs) are a plus.
