Join Fairstone as a Sr. Full Stack Developer, reporting to the director of software engineer, and be part of our talented and growing team!

About the role:

the successful candidate will join a team of talented, passionate individuals to contribute in the technical design, development and other tasks required to ensure the successful delivery of sprint commitments. The candidate will also work in collaboration with the tech leads to take part in the evolution of the methods and best practices of development teams.

  • Participate in the analysis, technical design, development and other tasks as needed to ensure the delivery of sprint commitments.
  • Participate in the development of common components (frameworks, models).
  • Participate in code reviews.
  • Provide on-call support as necessary
  • Autonomous in solving technical issues.
  • Participate in the evolution of the methods and teams development best practices.
  • Support peers to improve performance.
  • Work in a cloud computing environment; understand the philosophy and methodology of cloud computing; understand Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Understand the risks, issues and barriers associated with solutions and follow the recommendations from the solution architects.
  • Active participation in project deliverables.
  • Ensure alignment with solution architecture and coding standards.
  • Lead and Work with the team members in implementing solutions.
  • Participate in the code reviews.

What we’re looking for:

  • Has more than 10 years of experience in Node/Typescript and Java JEE development Frameworks.
    • Technologies used: Typescript/Javascript, ReactJS, Redux, Node, Java JEE, Spring MVC, NPM, Maven, CodeCommit, CodePipeline, DynamoDB, Cognito, Lambdas, MySQL, REST, SOAP, Tomcat, Websphere.
  • Has demonstrated experience in the development of cloud computing application software (an asset)
  • Has demonstrated experience using AWS tools and services in connection with application software development. (an asset)
  • Has experience with micro services architectures (an asset).
  • Holds a degree in software engineering.
  • Enjoys sharing new ideas and learning from others.
  • Is versatile, resourceful and recognized for his or her proactive approach in proposing the right solutions to address challenges.
  • Efficiently analyzes technical issues, identifies their source, takes action and communicates the resolution plans.
  • Is familiar with Agile approaches (Scrum, Kanban).
