We are seeking a clinician who values collaboration and is interested in contributing to an integrated, multidisciplinary healthcare environment. In this role, you will support the delivery of stepped-care mental health services to diverse populations, including MVA clients and military Veterans who may benefit from specialized psychosocial interventions. Join Cole Harbour Integrated Health Services - pt Health as we continue to grow our provincial clinical teams in support of a national mental health strategy. This position requires a strong commitment to client-centred care and the ability to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team.

Your Day-to-Day
- Provide clients, primarily military veterans, with goal-focused psychotherapy to address mental health and psychosocial problems that are barriers to better health and family/community engagement.
- Provide veteran clients with social work assessments and social work interventions in the client’s social milieu in order to improve social and community functioning.
- Utilize a primarily cognitive-behavioral approach to intervention based on an overall client-centered philosophy.
- Provide group psychoeducational services.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences to discuss clients’ treatment plan and goals, progress, and any barriers to functional goals.
- Deliver quality reporting and effective communication with all stakeholders.

What You Bring to the Team:
Required Qualifications
- Registered with the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers as an MSW Clinical specialist or;
- Registered Counselling Therapist registered with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists,
- Minimum Master’s Degree in a counselling-related field such as Counselling, Psychology, or Social Work.
Extra Points in your application
- Experience in case conceptualization and treatment of a range of mental health symptoms with a variety of adult clients.
- Have clinical knowledge in the areas of grief/loss, depression, anxiety, trauma, and adjustment issues.
- Knowledge of psychological management of chronic pain and concussive syndrome an asset.
- Training and experience with cognitive behavioral therapy approaches, and Trauma Processing modalities (e.g., EMDR, Prolonged Exposure, CPT).
- Experience working as part of a multi/interdisciplinary team.
- Experience preparing assessment, progress and discharge reports.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, solid judgement, and integrity.
