About the role

Job Description

What is the opportunity?

In this role, you will elevate GRM's benefit management practices to world-class standards across projects, AI use-cases and POCs. You will support and educate business partners across all Risk stripes on better identification and articulation of project benefits. You will manage GRM’s PAR pipeline providing inputs to the Investment Review Board, and making recommendations on project funding approval based on initiative’s benefit profiles. You will apply extensive in-depth knowledge, skills and practices to perform complex business case analysis. You will interact and co-ordinate with a number of stakeholders including senior GRM Leadership team.

What will you do?

  • Ensure all GRM projects, AI use-cases and POCs have robust financial and/or non-financial benefits defined & tracked from Initiation to Realization stages.
  • Work with Functions Finance to validate the benefits projection to ensure only fully validated benefits are used for reporting purposes.
  • Work with Functions Finance and GRM IT & Data Gov team on annual App Dev planning process, ensuring benefit profiles are captured for all initiatives.
  • Establish and evolve roles and accountabilities, and governance for the GRM benefit management process and practices.
  • Produce monthly benefit management reporting for GRM’s Senior Leadership and Productivity Efficiency Council (PEC).
  • In collaboration with technology spend management team, conduct preliminary review of PAR drafts and provide inputs to IRB on benefits and financials.
  • Make recommendations on project funding approval and provide spend prioritization based on project benefits analysis.
  • Produce commentary for monthly PAR pipeline review and ongoing monitoring/reporting of GRM benefits pipeline and benefit realization timelines.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • 10+ years of experience, with strong understanding of benefit tracking, business cases, financial accounting and project management practices
  • Ability to work independently, strong problem-solving skills, comfortable navigating ambiguity, and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong technical fluency in MS Excel/Word/PowerPoint (must-have); SharePoint, Tableau, Confluence, Jira (preferred)
  • Strong collaboration skills and experience leading cross-functional or multi-stakeholder initiatives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience with executive audiences.

Nice-to-have

  • University bachelor’s degree equivalent or MBA with project management background
  • Experience working with Enterprise Decision Support (EDS) and Investment Review Board (IRB) is a plus
  • Data analytics and reporting skills are an asset
  • Organizational Change Management (OCM) experience is a plus
