About the role

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting clinic operations which includes, but is not limited to, billing for the physicians, dealing with insurance companies, and paying financial statements. This position offers an opportunity to develop leadership skills and gain comprehensive management experience in a fast-paced environment. The Assistant Manager will assist in supervising staff, managing daily clinic activities, and implementing strategies to meet clinic goals.

Duties

  • Support the Office Manager in overseeing daily clinic operations
  • Supervise and motivate team members to deliver exceptional customer service and ensure no details are overlooked.
  • Manage billing submissions and reconciliations for the physicians working in the office.
  • Handle cash register operations, including cashiering, cash handling, and POS transactions accurately.
  • Oversee stock levels to meet office demand.
  • Conduct training and development sessions for staff to enhance skills and ensure that things are done in accordance with protocol.
  • Maintain organizational records such as bookkeeping, and billing reports using administrative tools.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Skills

  • Strong leadership qualities with proven supervising experience in healthcare or similar environments.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient in billing and submissions to MSB, WCB and SGI through Accuro and other means. Knowledge of billing codes for family physicians in Saskatchewan considered an asset.
  • Skilled in POS systems, cashiering, and cash handling procedures.
  • Experience with Accuro
  • Ability to manage budgets, perform bookkeeping tasks, and handle administrative responsibilities efficiently.
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks under pressure.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and record keeping considered a must have.
  • Customer service oriented with excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills.
  • Capable of supervising multiple team members while maintaining high standards of performance. This role is ideal for motivated individuals seeking growth opportunities within retail management while contributing to a positive shopping experience for customers.

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
