We are hiring multiple Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanics for a variety of mining sites in North Western BC. This role offers an opportunity to work on ultra-class Caterpillar mining equipment for the biggest players in the industry.

Job Description:
Major Job Functions
- Troubleshoot and repair Caterpillar equipment in an active Mine environment
- Perform field diagnosis and field running repairs
- Utilize Caterpillar SIS and ET daily
- Complete technical documentation (service reports, warranty, crossover notes)
- Interact with customers, sales support, and the rest of the Finning team
- Work with the Service Supervisor and Leadhand on various tasks as required
Specific Skills & Experience
- Interprovincial Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) Certification
- Valid driver’s license with a successful recent drivers abstract
- 10+ Years Off Road Mechanical Experience Recommended
- Previous repair experience on the Caterpillar mining and general line product lines Rock Trucks, Dozers, Excavators, Graders
Important Details:
- This role supports our Northwest BC Mining customers (Skeena and Tahltan Nation Development Corporation) on a 14x14 Shift
- A condition of employment is the ability to obtain Customer Site access (Drug & Alcohol, fitness testing) and wear a respirator where applicable
- Union Membership: You are required to become a member of the Union associated with this position. This will be effective immediately and will result in union dues being deducted from your pay. The terms and conditions of your employment will be governed by the collective agreement.
