The position:

Join our team as a Maintenance Custodian, reporting to the Facilities Manager, where you will play an essential role in maintaining a clean, safe, and well-functioning environment for both staff and customers. What you’ll be doing:

• Monitor and maintain building conditions to ensure a safe, clean, and fully functional environment, addressing plumbing, lighting, HVAC, electrical, and other minor maintenance needs.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, complete scheduled tasks, and report emergencies or significant issues to the Facilities Manager.
• Maintain the exterior of the property, including parking areas and seasonal upkeep such as snow removal.
• Support custodial duties, assist with room setups and furniture moves, and manage shipping and receiving of maintenance supplies.
• Coordinate with external trades and contractors by assisting with communication, overseeing minor projects when required, completing site orientations, and ensuring proper documentation and purchase orders are in place.

What you need to be successful:

• Previous experience in a maintenance or facilities role with strong hands-on mechanical skills.
• Proficiency using basic hand tools, ladders, and working with mechanical components.
• Knowledge of operational and maintenance safety procedures and best practices.
• Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Physical capability to perform maintenance and custodial duties.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license.

Availability:

This is a full-time position and will require you to be available:
Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm

Compensation:

$19/hr - $20/hr
