Main Responsibilities

  • Contribute to conceptual project studies using CAD/CAE development tools.
  • Actively participate in computer-assisted design (2D and 3D) and assist in preparing specifications and details based on engineers’ guidelines.
  • Prepare and adapt drawings, schematics, and details from sketches, including:
  • single-line and three-line diagrams,
  • electrical equipment layouts and power equipment,
  • installation details,
  • protection and control drawings,
  • wiring diagrams,
  • trench details, grounding, fiber optics, etc.
  • Perform basic design calculations.
  • Prepare material lists and bills of materials in accordance with codes, standards, drawings, and established methods, while respecting the company’s quality system.
  • Conduct technical site surveys.
  • Participate in contractor supervision on construction sites.
  • Support system commissioning and troubleshooting activities.
  • Ensure compliance with schedules, standards, and quality processes.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines (civil, mechanical, structural).
  • Work collaboratively, communicate effectively, and share information across the team.

Profile

  • DEC in Electrical Engineering Building or industrial with 1–2 years of experience,

or DEP in Building Drafting / Electrical with 4–5 years of experience.

  • Experience in building electrical systems or industrial electrical systems (required).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (minimum requirement).
  • Knowledge of Revit (strong asset).
  • Understanding of single-line and three-line diagrams and power electrical equipment (strong asset).
  • Strong attention to detail, teamwork, communication skills, and results orientation.
