About the role

What We Offer:

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Food portioning, minor food preparation/texture modification, and special nourishment preparation.
  • Maintaining cleaning schedule and completing HACCP records,
  • garbage and recycling removal.
  • Dish washing and clean-up (as required), pot washing, steam line
  • service – plating of food for residents/patients/visitors as per therapeutic menu
  • Setting tables, removing soiled dishes & washing tables.
  • Putting away orders, maintaining par levels.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Other duties as assigned

What You Bring to the Team:

  • Graduate of a secondary school program.
  • Successful completion of a Food Handler Training Program offered or approved by the Board of Health for the Public Health Unit.
  • Experience in a food services department is preferred.
  • Certificate of Completion in Health Care Food Service Worker Program approved by the Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities, recognized by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, or equivalent.
  • Experience with therapeutic and textured modified diets is an asset.
  • Previous experience in an institutional kitchen is an asset

St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre (SJCCC) is home to Hotel Dieu Hospital and St. Joseph’s Villa. Located in downtown Cornwall, Ontario, we provide Rehabilitation and Long-Term Care services to adults in our 208-bed, state-of-the-art healthcare facility.
